I’m Novaira and this is my (novair ending) story.
My friends call me Novs, Novi, Novaira; my family calls me Noori, Nooria, Nov; and the Starbucks barista calls me Nora. But you can call me Novaira (or any of the above, really). I’m just a third culture kid reflecting on all that life has to offer–from food to travel, from married life to all that comes with it. I’m here just to share my thoughts and opinions.
I am a Pakistani-American. I was born in London, lived my childhood in Riyadh, my adolescence in San Diego, and now I live in Chicago. I’m a lawyer by day and try to channel my creative side by night. I’ve dabbled in photography, graphic design, podcasting, singing, and event planning, but I’ve always loved writing and sharing my love for all of the above with others.
If you, like me, love food, travel, or just learning about a third culture kid’s journey, then please subscribe and read on. I’m not here to gain likes or followers, but to create a community. We’re all struggling with something and if there’s one thing I’ve learned from my podcast, Naan Stop Chit Chai, it’s that the struggle is always a shared struggle. This blog is all about sharing experiences. Whether that is the struggle to plan the perfect vacation, the struggle to find delicious food in your areas, or third culture kid struggles, I hope we can find our shared experience.
Please reach out if you have any questions or want to connect about anything! I’m always open to thoughts and suggestions.
With love,
Novaira
